Tonight, a special holiday edition of Room for Improvement as makeover maestro Martin Amado helps two adopted kids transform their bedroom.

WSVN -- Martin Amado: "The greatest gift that one can give this holiday season is love- and the Sneed family has done just that by adopting three wonderful children. Today RFI has joined forces with several great sponsors to make a difference in the bedroom space shared by the two youngest Nia and Kaz as a special holiday gift."

Sandra Sneed: "I always wanted kids, so I said you know we can give something back and adopt a child."

Michael and Sandra adopted Nia, Kaz and older sister Michelle through Children in Broward.

Michael Sneed: "We intended on one- fell in love with the 2nd one and fell in love with the third one- so it was a done deal after that."

Today the Sneed are a happy family, but the bedroom is a problem.

Sandra Sneed: "Basically Nia and Kaz is sharing this room. When we adopted them we knew it was going to be cramped- we knew space was going to be an issue."

Martin Amado: "OK so we need brand new paint and new furniture. You OK with that? And I also need your help, I need you to clear out this entire room because the painters are about to arrive to paint the space while I do the shopping."

Martin Amado: "I'm counting on you alright? Good luck girl, bye!"

Martin Amado: "Alright guys I'm back from the North Pole also known as City Furniture, so let's unload all the stuff and go inside."

Martin Amado: "I chose this beautiful cherry color for the new furniture because it's perfect for a boy or a girl and if you notice it compliments perfectly. The new paint color that was done courtesy Sam over at Bluejean Painters, so thank you Sam, I can't wait to see it all done."

Martin Amado: "We say goodbye to old verticals and hello to brand new blinds."

Martin Amado: "Now that Nia and Kaz have a room of their own I thought I'd add a personal touch by spelling out their name with these wooden letters. So, Kaz's name will be in yellow and Nia's in pink."

Martin Amado: "So, this is the secret to decorating to one bedroom shared by a boy and a girl, buy reversible comforter sets so that each bed has its own individual style. Notice on Nia's side I used the lime green accented with the pink, and over here for Kaz I used a turquoise accented with the yellow. It's all within the same color scheme and it works."

Martin Amado: "Typically when you have a large wall we hang framed artwork, but today we're doing something different, we're installing wall decals. It adds a lot of charm in the bedroom, space and the best part is when you get tired of it, you can just peel them right off."

Martin Amado: "Santa came a bit early this year and we have some gifts for Nia and Kaz to finish off their bedroom space. I hope they enjoy it!"

Martin Amado: "This morning Kaz and Nia's bedroom was in major need of a complete makeover, so we started from scratch decluttering the bedroom, adding the new paint color and beautiful furniture, we now have a room that's fun to be in and meets their needs as they grow."

Martin Amado: "Here we have the entire family and older sister Michelle, so here we go. One, two three, open your eyes guys.

Family: "Wow! Beautiful!"

Martin Amado: "Alright, so from the Sneed family Ch 7 News of course we wish all the viewers a very happy holiday season and we'll see you next time on another Room for Improvement."
