In tonight's Room for Improvement, Martin Amado does his makeover magic outdoors transforming a patio into an outside oasis for fun and relaxation.

WSVN -- Martin Amado: "The South Florida lifestyle is all about spending time outdoors, so today on Room for Improvement, we're transforming this back terrace into a beautiful retreat that becomes an extension of the indoor living space."

Martin Amado: "The patio already has the basic furniture pieces needed for an outdoor space for seating and also for dining, but it's still looking quite bare. It's missing plants and all the decorative elements that will help give it that wow factor. So let's get to work"

Martin Amado: "The first step is to move the furniture for seating closer to the back door so as soon as you walk out, we have the perfect living room setting."

Martin Amado: "If your patio cushions are worn and faded, that doesn't mean you have to replace all the furniture, just get the cushions reupholstered, that's what we did. This right here was the original fabric, as you can tell it had seen better days and look at it now, it looks brand new. Just remember, use outdoor fabric."

Martin Amado: "We can't have an outdoor room without a water feature. I love this."

Martin Amado: "The sound is soothing and relaxing and washes away all the stress."

Martin Amado: "Beautiful. I gave these store bought panels a custom look by adding a fabric panel at the bottom that matches the patio cushions. It's that little detail that changes the entire feel of the patio."

Martin Amado: "Much needed greenery here."

Martin Amado: "This morning the patio had a lot going for it in terms of size and furniture, but it was still quite bare. By adding colorful fabrics, new greenery and the soothing sounds of a water feature, we created a whole new living and dining area outdoors."

Martin Amado: "And now-, we have the perfect outdoors room. I'm Martin Amado and we'll see you next time on another Room for Improvement."
