Seen on the Scene: Seen on the Scene
A bad attitude getting one diva kicked to the curb in South Florida, plus plans in the works for the piano man to make music in Miami. In Touch Weekly's Michael Cohen has today's Seen on the Scene.
WSVN -- Mariah Carey may be able to shell out the big bucks to rent a mansion, but I'm told by my Palm Beach friends having her in your space is just down-right scary. The diva was recently holed up in a $30,000 a month mansion in Boca Raton, but the owner got so frustrated with her constant complaining about house rules, like no parties, he ditched the diva, making her move out.
The piano man and Miami's newest man Billy Joel is ready to start the fire. Joel, who was seen dining at the Pelican hotel twice this week, is reportedly talking with the magic city's best producers such as Scott Storch and Timbaland about jamming out some new tunes. We can't wait.
By now the numbers have been made public, Shaquille O'Neal spends nearly $65,000 a month on everything from gas to cable, but insiders say those numbers, much like those of the Miami Heat, are pretty low. Sources tell me O'Neal spends into the six digits every month on lavish expenses, and his landscaper alone is about $20,000 a month. Way to mow the lawn, Shaq!
Now for more star gossip around town.
Anna Kournikova ordering a protein shake at Taste Bakery while boyfriend Enrique Iglesias waited in the car.
Watch out! John Mayer riding a bike on Lincoln Road nearly crashing into a few diners at Sushi Samba.
From big bills to big tunes and all the gossip in between, I'm In Touch Weekly's Michael Cohen for Seen on the Scene.
