The rising cost of groceries is turning one South Florida mom into a savvy shopper, and she's teaching other moms to do the same. Seven's Lynn Martinez is getting a lesson in Savings in Shopping 101.

WSVN -- From clothes to groceries and everyday essentials, Jodi Furman is saving 65 to 70 percent on everything she buys.

Jodi Furman: "Usually, I'm saving about $200 to $300 a week. That's $10,000 of income at the end of the year."

And now she's sharing her savvy shopping secrets with just about everyone she meets.

Jodi Furman: "It doesn't matter how much money you have, everyone can save. It may mean an extra vacation or may it mean the difference between losing your home."

She has started a class called Strategic Shopping 101.

Jodi Furman: "They all allow you to combine a manufacture coupon. So from Betty Crocker or who ever the manufacturer might be and from the store itself."

She teaches shoppers everything they need to know to get more for their buck.

Jodi Furman: "I go from soup to nuts. I talk about everything that people shop for. I start with grocery savings and drug stores and go on to what stores accept competitors coupons."

Jodi's money saving tips are becoming so popular.

Robin Zell: "I didn't know that you could use the coupon with the buy one get one free."

She's even been asked to teach classes in other states.

Jodi Furman: "People have been emailing me and calling me. I actually have a couple classes scheduled in Nashville and up in Boston."

And the best news is that Jodi posts what she believes are the top shopping deals of the week on her website.

Jodi Furman: "I have a full time job. I have three kids, two dogs, two cats and a mountain of laundry to do on a weekly basis, but as long as I have the time available, I'm happy to do it."

Jodi's students range from stay at home moms to working professionals.

Estelle Schafran: "I came to the class to learn how to save money because I was recently retired and I'm on a fixed income."

And people say taking the class helps them save big.

Robin Zell: "In two months I've already saved $400, and that $400 can go towards something else that we want to purchase."

Lynn Martinez: "The classes can either be one on one or in a group session, and range from $20 to $25 per person."
