7 News Features: 7 Down Under - Crocosaurus Cove

WSVN -- After my adventures all week in the outback, there was only one place left go, go Crocosaurus Cove the main attraction there comes in three sizes big, bigger and get the heck outta the water.

Wade Huffman: "We've got seven large crocs all upwards of five meters."

Medium.

Wade Huffman: "We've got a hundred juveniles that about 4, 4 1/2 feet long."

And small.

Wade Huffman: "We've got a hundred little hatchlings, they're all about that big."

Croco-saurus Covein the heart of Darwin, Australia has em' all.

Shireen: "You even have a movie star?"

Wade Huffman: "We do have a movie star, Burt, he was the star of Crocodile Dundee."

At the cove: You can get up-close and cozy with a croc in something called the cage of death.

Wade Huffman: "It's a big perspects cylinder of glass, cylinder of acrylic that gets dropped in the water into any of the four different enclosures."

I was gonna take a dip, but I made my photographer do it. Impressive, I shot some of the video I mean wow, he risked his rump.

Wade Huffman: "The crocodiles can come up and swim around you and have a little bite at you, and you can get very close to a five and a half meter killing machine."

If you don't wanna see a salty that close (by the way, that's Aussie talk for croc.) why not just feed the lil fellas?

Yeah, they're scary and scaly but really, they're just regular reptiles.

Wade Huffman: "Honestly, you have to trust me i'm a trained professional. What I am gonna do is..."

Shireen: "No, no."

WADE HUFFMAN: "Just stand here I'm just gonna give you a crocodile hat ok?"

Shireen: "Oh no."

Wade Huffman: "A little crocodile hat, an accessory every woman should have. OK, let's take the elastic band off his mouth.

Shireen: "No, no, don't even play, don't play."

What the croc is going on here? Don't scare the lil' ones away, just scale down the day.     

Wade Huffman: "We have the latest display of Australian reptiles in the world, so we have various feature shows throughout the day."

The magic and mystery of movie making took us to Australia. But these memorable moments are proof the land Down Under really is a world of wonder.

That wraps up our Australian Adventure. What I loved most? The people and their favorite saying.."No worries mate!"
