WSVN -- You could call it a collection of all that’s cool. Cool books, cool clothes, cool kicks -- you name it, the've got it.

Steven Giles: "Its kinda like a one stop style shop."

Welcome to Base where you can listen to the latest music, shop for a new outfit, and pick up something hip for your home all under one roof.

Belkys: "Things on Lincoln road they open today and they are gone tomorrow. You guys have been here 10 years what's your secret?

Steven: "I try to keep it fresh, fresh for ourselves and fresh for our friends and I think that's what keeps us alive actually. Just our own curiosity about life and all things hip and cool."

Well, it might not be an easy recipe to follow, but it's certainly working here. From new products to new clothing lines this hot south beach store is always on the cutting edge.

Steven: "It takes a lot of work and we do a lot of traveling, I do a lot of traveling a lot of research and just keeping your eyes open your ear to the ground and just trying to have a fresh view point."

Here is another base original, they even make their own scent, here it is - one is called sea, and one is called sand, but they both smell, delicious.

Steven: "It' just this fantastic combination of style elements--things to make you look and feel good about yourself."

Whatever you're in the mood for - this place probably has it. There's even has a hair salon in the back called snip.

Salon customer: "The guys here aren't really hair dressers they are more like hair artist, I guess. They always leave you with something fresh and funky and it's tailored to your face. I keep coming back."

So do music lovers who have a seat at the CD bar where they're served up some of the hottest beats from all over the world.

One of the best things about Base: It's constantly changing. Today they've got funky little plastic toys.

Steven: "We have a designer Toy room - this is the latest craze, you've got to have some designer plastic in your house."

Tomorrow you never know, but you can be sure, it'll be the next hot thing.

Steven: "We try to bring things together that are reflective of a cool modern lifestyle."

Base recently opened their counterpart next door -- Base Luxe, where you can find even more of their edgy chic styled stuff.
