Style File: Budget Boutiques
If you want to start the new year off with a new look, we've got some great places to look like a million, without spending a million. 7s Belkys Nerey takes us to budget boutiques in tonight's Style File.
WSVN -- If you want to start the new decade off looking decadent, we've got just the right places at just the right prices for 2010.
Monica Minagorri: "We're offering a boutique style something that feels very expensive, looks expensive, but it's not."
'Mina' Boutique in Miami Beach is run by a trio of sisters with fashion sense, and a sense for affordability.
Marianne Minagorri: "It's exciting cause you know you have the great concept of great clothing, and everything is under $100. This is going to cost you about $90 head to toe."
Theyv'e got dresses for every occasion especially for you party girls. Plus, the latest looks in handbags, headbands, shoes and jewelry.
Monica Minagorri: "We only get one of each pieace. Small, medium and large. So you'll never see anyone on the street wearing your outfit."
They're always trying out hot, new designers. Especially giving local creators a chance.
Monica Minagorri: "We carry Carly Fegerhead, and also Lamode, Palegruso, that's the name some people would know."
Two Miami trendsetters have also come up with a great concept to look like a million wthout spending anywhere near that.
Jennifer Sazant: "We have a passion and love for clothing, old and new."
Friends Hollen and Jennifer have opened a vintage showroom in Bay Harbor where you can find authentic designers for a fraction of the original cost.
Hollen Rosenberg: "This is a Dolce and Gabana originally was $500, you can get it our store for $200."
Jennifer Sazant: "We have an amazing Donna Karan vest. It's an original DK. Another piece that probalby no one has is this Carl Lagerfield dress, which sort of looks like a suit."
The women search the country for unique pieces. They own everything and do not consign shopping here is like browsing through a closet and you never know what old treasure you will find.
Hollen Rosenberg: "This is a Jimmy Gamba so old, I would say 1970 and we paired it with signed Judith Leber belt."
Something special for those looking for timeless pieces with prices right for the times.
