The King Tut exhibit in Ft. Lauderdale is ringing up record numbers. But if you haven't been to the art museum yet, there's more to it than just old artifacts. In tonight's Style File, we found area restaurants, hotels, even theme parks are rolling out the royal treatment.
WSVN--King tut is in the house well more like the Ft. Lauderdale museum of art but this city is one of four to host this one of a kind exhibit and places like the Marriot Harbor Beach Resort are jumping on the boy king bandwagon. They're offering decadent weekend package only pharhaos could dream of.
Marygrace McCaffrey: "It's something that you wouldn't normally experience anywhere else."
Get pampered with Egyptian-inspired treatments that would make Cleopatra jealous.
And eat a seven course feast you can bet didn't taste this good three thousand years ago.
Marygrace McCaffrey: "It's just another way for us to put a fun spin to the exhibit, we are just so proud."
Over on Las Olas Timpano restaurant is featuring an Egyptian inspired menu.
Enjoy a decadent dessert a glass of white wine with gold particles, or a Tut-Tini -- the restaurant's signature King Tut drink.
Alyssa Lovitt: "Everything that the Egyptians cooked with and put it into our recipes, and made something that everybody will like."
And mummies listen up -- at Wannado City in Sawgrass Mills the boy king is running wild and kiddies can explore Egyptian treasures and even learn about his mysterious death.
Laura Lieberman: "They can do examinations and they can look at some catscans to try and see how King Tut was killed and come up with their own hypothesis."
This experience will have kids and adults walking like an Egyptian.
Laura Lieberman: "We are really excited to bring King Tut into children, it's adding what's going on in our city in our state."
Belkys Nerey: "The King Tut exhibit will run until April 23rd. Tickets are still available."
