Since bikini and tank top season are year-round, it's always important to stay in shape in South Florida. But in tonight's Style File, if you're tired of the treadmill and the free weights, we found two new workouts that will have you fit and loving it.
WSVN--Richard Simmons is always sweating to the oldies.
Cher tried to turn back time with her routine.
And Olivia Newton john told us to get physical.
Tired of the same old workout routine? At Yogarosa in Hallandale Beach, no mats required for this yoga class just a rope.
Belkys Nerey: "Why ropes? like yoga isn't hard enough you have to add ropes, Rosa?"
Rosa Santana: "The ropes actually make the poses a lot easier, some people that some poses would be contra indicated they are able to use the ropes to give them more stability, more self confidence."
Among other things, the one-hour session helps you improve your posture and flexibility. It looks hard but if you've got some basic yoga practice under your belt you'll be able to do it. Trust me.
Rosa Santana: "You are so dramatic. Belkys screaming."
Belkys Nerey: "She called me dramatic ahhh."
"Don't let go duh!!"
"It's very Cirque de Soleil cover with video..."
Rosa Santana: "What do you want me to do...lift yourfeet off the floor...uggh."
It's not easy but it works.
Belkys Nerey: "That was good."
Rosa Santana: "They yell sometimes they cry, I can't believe I did this, and you know it's very empowering and that's really what yoga is all about."
Belkys Nerey: "Namsay."
Need something a litte more upbeat then giddy up over to crunch fitness on South Beach.
All you need is a cowboy hat comfy clothes and a pair of sneakers to enjoy the hip-hop cowgirl class.
Lena Pereira: "It's going to tone the entire body because we're doing a lot of upper body movements, using the hats using props, it's all through the body."
The one hour cardio-intensive workout will have you sweating and screaming yee-haw in no time.
Lena Pereira: "I think that's fun for people to learn a new style of choreography, it's nothing that you see out there right now."
It's one of their most popular classes because it doesn't really feel or look like a workout.
Lena Pereira: "That's something that that definitely that people can take to the clubs and have fun with."
Belkys Nerey: "Crunch classes are for members only. Classes at Yogarosa start at $16 per class."
