Style File: Pools
Now this is what we call water colors. Only in South Florida could a swimming pool be fun and fancy. In tonight's Style File, we found one man who can turn your backyard into a beautiful work of art.
WSVN--Michaelangelo created The David.
Van Gogh painted the famous sun flowers.
And of course who could ever forget Davinci's Mona Lisa.
But now your pool can be the next masterpiece.
Ray Corral: "We can offer you great artwork in your pool as finish that you can enjoy year-round."
Ray Corral creates a pool guaranteed to make a splash.
He uses imported tiles and combines different colors but also works on the installation and seals it with a glass finish.
Ray Corral: "It's a smooth finish it, lasts, outlasts any other finish 10 times over. It's top of the line finish."
And Ray has worked with top clients such as Gloria Estefan and Julio Iglesias but his latest project is a 25-million dollar ocean-front mansion that features a multi-level pool with an underwater feeling.
Lauree Simmons: "He loves the beautiful reefs of South Florida and wanted to recreate that into the pool."
But you might have to dig deep into those pockets because it does't come cheap. A pool alone can cost up to one-million dollars.
Lauree Simmons: "It's not cheap it's an expensive thing to do but to me it's worth every penny of it, it makes the pool."
So keep in mind next time you want to soak some rays dive in to a glamorous pool that will make you feel like a true jet-setter.
Lauree Simmons: "It's a gorgeous finish and it's really rare here because the craftmanship of actually installing the glass in pools it's an artform that has been los but we're bringing it back."
