Now that the weekend's almost here, making plans can be chaotic. If you're tired of going to one place for drinks, another for dinner and another for dancing, we have found them all under one roof -- and best of all, the music is live. 7's Belkys Nerey takes us there in tonight's Style File.
WSVN -- "Music makes the people come together..."
Indeed it does -- where there's music, the people do come together.
But when there's live music, it's even better.
It's Santo Restaurant and Lounge on Lincoln Road -- South Beach's latest and greatest place to get your groove on.
Andrew Marc Rothschild: "It's sort of like a mini concert here every night, Tuesday through Saturday."
That's because Santo is in a class by itself, offering live music and everything else you need for a night out on the town.
Mariana Pardo-Bowles: "I think it’s very classy. I like the crowd and this mix and the music. You get a little bit of everything."
Let's start with the restaurant: A sleek space offering contemporary American cuisine spiced up with a little Latin and Asian flavor.
Gustavo Strallnikoff: "We had dinner here. The food is great, and now we are ready for the party."
The party is on at the bar with lively libations, to either start or end your night. Mariana Pardo-Bowles brought her friends from out of town to show them how its done Santo style.
Mariana Pardo-Bowles: "I came from Minnesota and it's very cold. This is a great place to have a drink with my friends, and it's very good -- we don't have this in Minnesota."
But the Performance Lounge is really what sets Santo apart from the rest.
Every night a different sound takes over the scene.
Thursday nights it's all about Latin pop. The rest of the week hip hop, R&B and Top 40 sounds are in the house. It's all live, all the time.
And you never know who's going to show up and take center stage. Performers like Paulina Rubio, Christina Milian, Trick Daddy and Rick Ross have all treated the crowd to impromptu performances.
"We expect all type of people, anyone who wants to have fun, listen to great music and have a good time and not take life too seriously."
So whether you're in the mood for fine dining, looking for a new place to party, or both, get it all at Santo and get it live.
Santo is open for dinner seven days a week -- reservations are recommended.
If you just want to listen to some live music, the performance lounge is open Tuesday through Saturday -- call ahead for bottle service.
