Style File: Unique classes for children

WSVN -- Could this be the next Emeril Lagasse or maybe even the future Donald Trump?

Move over, Gymboree. Classes for kids these days are much more sophisticated.

Erika Gill: "We wanted it to be smart and different types of classes that you don't find in our area."

At the Child Enrichment Center of Skipping Stones in Miami, children from 0 to 12 years old are offered higher learning.

Classes or clubs, as they call them, where children get the chance to explore what they might want to be when they grow up.

Kathryn Mikesell: "At this age, the children are these amazing sponges, and you would be astonished at what these children are able to do."

Aspiring chefs can take cooking classes, where they make and bake dishes like fruit pastries.

Little girl: "That's my favorite, and that's what I love, cooking and going on TV."

Or how about architecture and design where they build walls, roofs and furniture?

Who knows, they could learn how to build your next house.

Little boy: "I think it's going to be fun when we make the walls."

Elise Goldfarb: "My son loves it. It's taking a different step from Legos to something much better and much more challenging for him."

Even the world of music class takes things one step further.

The kids learn about different cultural music and even make their own instruments.

The wee ones aren't left out either. Classes like Toddler Time help the kids socialize and build self confidence.

Kathryn: "We want the children to explore. We provide them the guidance, and it's up to them to work with and explore beyond that."

So, parents, let your child pick the class that's their cup of tea, and the learning is a no-brainer!
