Mother's Day is only two weeks away and if she has a sweet tooth, or likes to get her hands a little dirty, her chocolate cravings will no doubt be satisfied by these delectable delights. But if your mom would rather get her hands dirty than indulge in candy, there's just the gift. 7's Belkys Nerey's opening up the Style File.
WSVN -- Want to make your mom feel glamourous this Mother's Day?
Ditch the flowers and, instead, give her an arrangement of chocolates from Patchi.
Johanne: "Patchi chocolate is like a piece of art. It's like jewelry."
Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but these chocolates are a pretty close second.
There are 52 different types and each piece is decorated with roses, jewels or sea shells almost too pretty to eat!
Maricela Harth: "I like the packaging and the taste. I mean, the presentation is awesome."
With bowls, plates, even silver platters, you can create a gift that keeps on giving.
Johanne: "After they eat all the chocolate, they can always use the bowl for something else."
There's even sugar-free chocolates for those watching their figures.
Plus, some chocolates offer a neat surprise inside.
Johanne: "When you open it, it's in two pieces. It's called a perfect pair, so people can share it, making it perfect for mom and daughter."
Another perfect way to spend the day is with clay.
At Clayworks in North Miami Beach, you and mom can take pottery classes and spin your own gift.
Rose Quintana: "So, that's great to come with your mom here and to do dishes together. You can do little bowls or cups or plates for the kitchen."
If the wheel is too messy, you can also paint pottery or create a mosaic together.
The best part is the bonding.
Diana Chern-Mom: "Yes, this would be definitely quality time. And, while you're doing something, you're also connecting and talking."
Whatever you make, you take, so it's something mom can cherish forever.
If you don't want to get your hands dirty, Rose also makes special pieces that you can buy.
