It's called a pop-up community, and they're big over in Europe. Now the trend has made it to Miami. In today's Style File, we're taking you to an experimental neighborhood, inside a neighborhood.

WSVN -- X marks the spot for an exciting new adventure in Miami's Design District.

Luminaire X is the first so-called pop-up community in South Florida.

Steven Giles: "You know there's very exciting things happening over here in the Design District, so this is the perfect place to start something like this."

Pop-up communities are big in Europe, and the concept is just now making it to the U.S. Basically, it's where several different stores get together under one roof to create a little community. After a couple of months of big buzz, they shut down.

Nasir Kassamali: "The whole idea is to create a unique experience so that people long for something like this to happen later on."

Luminaire X has brought together several of Miami's hippest hot spots into one space and the focus is all on art, fashion and design. You can browse through limited edition books from Books & Books, grab a cappuccino at Lavazza, shop for clothes or listen to music at the CD bar at Base, and pick out unique furniture from Luminaire.

Myra Wexler: "It's so cutting edge. It's new. It's fresh."

Leonardo Davalos: "You can grab a cup of coffee here, meanwhile, you can go around and see fashion and design."

There's even a Bang & Olufsen theater set up to watch videos.

Douglas Hirsch: "They're going to see films, and special music that they've never encountered here in the theater. It will change all the time. It's kind of related to the design and art community."

To keep up interest, all the merchandise and events will change each week.

Pedro Maal: "This place has to stay."

Sorry, Luminaire X will only be around for the next two months.

Steven Giles: "If it works, maybe we'll do it again, but who knows where, and that's part of the excitement, you don't know where a pop-up store is gonna pop-up next."

Belkys Nerey: "Luminaire X is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, and there will be special events held there over the next couple of months. "
