Style File: Cheap Eats
Many of us are cutting back on eating out to save some cash. But some restaurants are offering some great deals to get you dine with them. You just have to know which day to go. 7's Belkys Nerey takes us for some cheap eats in tonight's Style File.
WSVN -- Sure, it's not Friday, but hump day doesn't have to be so bad. Especially when you can eat and drink for next to nothing!
Casey Quaife: "With this economy, you gotta be shopping around, getting stuff at a good price."
Here's a deal that won't break the bank. Check out $3 Wednesdays at 72nd Bar + Grill in South Miami.
Juan Maza, Executive Chef, 72nd Bar + Grill: "We have Margaritas, Mojitos, Martinis, a lot of other mixed cocktails at $3."
You can also munch on a selection of $3 bar snacks, like sliders, crispy calamari with Thai cilantro sauce and shooters of their Peruvian Ceviche.
Juan Maza: "Every week, we change it, we keep it new, so people don't get bored."
Ashley Malinowski: "So I ordered one of everything. You're able to get the variety you want at a price you can afford."
Megan Flynn: "Just had the artichoke for the first time here. It was really good. Probably one of my favorites here."
And this isn't just an early happy hour. The deals last from 5 p.m. until closing!
Ashley Malinowski: "For the both of us, $15 for food and then $6 for the drinks, so, can't beat that."
Over in Sunny Isles, head over to RACKS Italian Bistro for their "Five Dollar Burger Night."
Danielle Mellion: "Five-dollar burgers. They're the best."
Lauren Pedro: "This is a ridiculous deal!"
This is not a stingy burger. From 5 p.m. to close , you can create your own gourmet burger and pile on the toppings.
Matthew Danaher, Culinary Director, RACKS Italian Bistro: "We start out with a little card. You pick your bun, your burger, you pick your cheese, and we add a whole bunch of toppings."
Alex Lotero: "I got a fried egg, roasted mozzarella, medium rare burger."
Lauren Pedro: "Total thumbs up on this place. The burger is amazing!"
For a couple bucks more, add some truffle or sweet potato fries or onion rings. And don't miss RACKS drink specials.
Casey Quaife: "A Margarita here, people, $5 dollars. You can't go wrong."
Your belly will be full, and so will your wallet.
Belkys Nerey: "Start checking around. Restaurants are trying to get your business, and many of them are offering special nightly deals."
