Style File: The Well
It's called The Well and it's the perfect place to hang out this holiday weekend. And as Belkys Nerey reports shows us in the style file, it has three different personalities.
WSVN -- Party peeps, we think you're gonna like this. There's a new place to hang out on Miami Beach without all the hassle of a door guy, lines or bottle service.
Buzzy Sklar, The Well, Co-owner: "We wanted to really bridge the gap between night clubs and dive bars. We felt that there was not a true lounge here on Miami Beach."
The Well is a new lounge tucked away next to The Forge restaurant on 41st Street.
Buzzy Sklar: "The music will always be at a level where it's conversational."
Jacquelynn Powers: "The Well is great because there is always something missing after dinner, my boyfriend and I want a place to go, but we don't want to go to a nightclub, and this is like a lounge, and for people a little more grown up."
The lounge's design is what really stands out. There are three different rooms with their own themes.
Sarah Hopkins: "It's really relaxed, so you can really move throughout the area. It kinda takes on it's own feel wherever you are."
Our favorite- the Aspen room.
Buzzy Sklar: "We went with a whole Aspen ski lodge kind of theme. It's wood, it's antler-chandeliers, it's a giant stone fire place."
There's also the 444 Bar and then the Tiffany room, which still houses this stained glass from back in the day when the space was called "Glass".
Buzzy Sklar: "The one thing we kept from the old space was the Tiffany glass ceiling cause it was just iconic to the space itself."
Other party perks- drinks aren't over $10 and parking is easy.
Buzzy Sklar, The Well, Co-owner: "People don't have to drive into the belly of South Beach. All the meters go off at six o'clock."
So mosey on over to The Well.
