If you're tired of the same old commercial beer, Good news is brewing in Fort Lauderdale. 7s Belkys Nerey will quench your thirst for a unique beer bar in tonight's Style File.
WSVN -- It doesn't need to be Oktoberfest to celebrate beer in Fort Lauderdale at the newly-opened Tap 42.
Robenen Vasquez: "We're trying to broaden people's horizons that beer is not just beer."
You won't count 99 bottles of beer on this wall but just like the name there are 42 beers on tap.
Sean McMackin: "All Craft beers, 30 of which we have to on tap, 12 rotate weekly
depending on availability."
Expect belgian beers, i-p-a's and plenty of rare beers from all over the world.
Dana Schilbrack: "I like trying new beers, so coming in here there was so many I haven't heard of before."
Alan Payton: "I'm having a Bells Ale, it's a refreshing IPA from the state of Michigan, very tasty."
They even have some special beers for those who love drinking local.
Robenen Vasquez: "Let's start off with one of my favorite beers it's Native 11, a brown ale from Fort Lauderdale, so we like to promote everything from Florida."
Mia Lawrence: "We've been trying to get through all I think we've probably
tried half of them."
Of course you've got to have some pub grub to enjoy your beer with and they specialize in American comfort food like the Tap 42 burger, but be warned tThis one is a food challenge.
Chris Palmer: "It's two burgers, and has 21 ingredients on it. If you finish it, you get a free beer."
Ari Porth: "I'm having a grilled cheese and it has a special surprise inside. It's multiple types of bacon. It's called 'Three Little Piggies'."
Be sure to look around the uniquely-designed bar has plenty of conversation pieces like the hand-drawn ale wall, which is a family tree of beer and another wall made of pennies.
Sean McMackin: "The penny wall, was an idea my brother and I collected a lot of pennies. 1,400 to be exact, behind the beer wall, makes a great back-splash to the beer."
Bottoms up for a good time in Fort Lauderdale.
Belkys Nerey: "'Tap 42 is open for lunch too and there's a great patio outside to enjoy the nice cool weather."
