Spring and summer fashions are already in full bloom in stores, so we went to some local boutiques for a lesson in what to wear and how to wear it. 7's Belkys Nerey puts some spring into your step in tonight's Style File.

WSVN -- If you have a mental block on what to wear this spring and summer, it's all about colorblocking.

Michelle DiMarco, Lilac & Lilies: "Colorblocking is huge. What we're doing is pairing like bold blocks of colors together."

Michelle DiMarco from Lilac & Lilies boutique in Fort Lauderdale says to really give your colorblocking outfit the cutting edge, add another big trend: A floral piece.

Another perfect accessory: These brightly-colored earrings by Kendra Scott.

Michelle DiMarco, Lilac & Lilies: "I think tribal is my favorite trend of the season, hands down. We're seeing influences from Africa and Brazil, especially in the patterns. We have Missoni-inspired prints that really have that tribal feel. I really try to stick with the neutrals."

Snakeskins in muted tones are also slithering in.

Michelle DiMarco, Lilac & Lilies: "What I really like about is snakeskins, it exudes this subtle sexiness but yet can transition from day to night. Wear it with skinnies for nighttime, and then you can wear with cut-off denim shorts during the day."

The nautical look is still sailing strong for spring. But this year, don't go overboard. Just add little touches.

Michelle DiMarco, Lilac & Lilies: "White bathing suit top, denim shorts, and for example a rope tie belt."

At ISA Boutique in Midtown, the focus is on resort wear.

Crochet is back again this season, and it's making grandma's pastime look hot.

Start with a tunic.

Jilian Sanz, ISA Boutique: "There is something sexy and elegant about a natural hem colored crochet."

Then move to a barely-there swimsuit.

Jilian Sanz, ISA Boutique: "Instead of traditional tie-side, go for something more of a boy short."

Fabrics are light as a cloud this season, so sheer kaftans and tunics with beading are must-haves.

Jilian Sanz, ISA Boutique: "I am a big fan of these easy pieces that you can layer over a swimsuit during the day but really make work well later on in the evening."

Instead of solid colors, go for blended pastels.

Jilian Sanz, ISA Boutique: "We have taken maybe what would be a colorblocking concept and softened it into something that feels more like a watercolor, so you have the injection of a lot of different shades, but in a soft way."

One of the biggest trends in resort wear is long, flowing skirts and pants.

Definitely go with a printed bottom.

Jilian Sanz, ISA Boutique: "When you have a lot of length, you also have a lot of movement. Maybe pair it with a great bodysuit that is a little more naked and you feel really edited."

Now you're ready to spring into to the season in perfect style.

Belkys Nerey: "Another hot pick for spring: A metallic bathing suit. Both of these boutiques have outfits starting under $100 and up."
