Planning a wedding, a baby shower or any special occasion where you want aecadent design? In tonight's Style File, 7's Belkys Nerey shows us a rental company who can transform your next event into something beautifully vintage.
WSVN -- Something old is something new again thanks to the newlyweds behind the company called Unearthed Vintage.
Katie Blineau: "It actually started because of our wedding. We knew we wanted to do a vintage-style wedding, and when we were looking for a company similar to ours, we couldn't find it in South Florida."
Katie and Jovan Blineau had so much fun collecting and refurbishing unique decor for their wedding. Now they specialize in renting out vintage furniture and decor.
Katie Blineau: "We tend to head north for a lot of our items, estate sells, thrift stores."
For a romantic event they can style a rustic dinner party with farmhouse tables, mismatched china and glassware, chandeliers hanging from trees and old cans for flowers.
Katie Blineau: "We also have the vintage white desk. This can be used as a dessert setup how we have it with the frames as a backdrop, you can also use it as your guest book table when people are signing in to your wedding."
Tired of the same old bar for booze. How about one made of barrels from Kentucky?
Jovan Blineau: "We got two barrels and an old door and turning it into the bar. It came out pretty nice. We actually have an original vintage cast iron tub. We normally use it for the bar. They don't want all their guest at their event waiting in line for a drink, so your second option is to have the tub full of ice and full of beer."
That is so Pinterest. Especially with this lounge area which looks like something from your grandmother's 1950's living room.
Unearthed Vintage will serve up a tea party that will make you swoon.
Jovan Blineau: "A lot of people have been calling us for throwing tea party for a baby shower or bridal shower. We typically offer the vintage china cups, any size plate, everything is actually different variety of chairs and tables."
They'll also lay out the perfect picnic scene for an engagement or a family photo shoot.
Katie Blineau: "We have the ladder in the background, which is a nice way to display different decor. There is a vintage fan that works and can keep you cool. Many different vintage platters where you can have your food and of course the classic cokes with the striped straws."
Michael Burgos: "People just want to be unique these days. They want to get a certain style and make it look beautiful."
Even items like 'suitcases' are transformed into something unexpected.
Jovan Blineau: "Suitcases are huge right now. You can use them open and have people put their cards in there at a wedding, you can stack them up and use them as some sort of coffee table or side table."
Katie Blineau "We do delivery. We do set-up and we can do full-styling of an event as well."
And if you're looking for a unique backdrop, your next soiree you will be wowed by the Estancia Culinaria in Homestead.
Santi Gavino: "Estancia is first and foremost my family's home and about two years we opened it to the public, for private events."
It's an avocado farm with a beautiful coral chapel and plenty of space for any sort of magical occasion. They even do the cooking.
Santi Gavino: "We try to incorporate their vintage pieces with our surroundings, and my cuisine to give everyone a whole experience. Kind of like a destination dining."
Your next event is sure to be unforgettable, just don't forget to send me an invitation.
Unearthed Vintage is located in a warehouse, where customers can go and choose what they want.
