WSVN -- Make spirits bright this holiday season by buying local for the gadget lovah in your life. These two Miami 20 something's have designed Bubble Buttons.
Eugenia Alliegro -Created Bubble Buttons: "Bubble Buttons are a sticker that can you put on your iphone, ipad or itouch to decorate and enhance the touch and feel of your home button."
You just stick them on and then peel off the Bubble Buttons, when you're ready for something new there are designs for every taste.
Eugenia Alliegro -Created Bubble Buttons: "We have a Christmas pack which is a new one. We have mustache pack for the more hipster crowd. We have food pack for the food lovers. We have sports. It's a great stocking stuffer since the price point is only $4.95."
If your kids are dreading going back to school after the holiday get them excited with a squid pack.
Eugenia Alliegro -Created Squid Packs: "It's a backpack that you can customize by interchanging the straps. So we designed 10 different colors of straps and seven different colors of backpacks. And you can mix and match. You can do your team colors, you can do your school colors."
There are even accessories for the younger kids who like to decorate their backpacks.
Eugenia Alliegro -Created Bubble Buttons: "We have developed a few charms that you can attach, so there is plush charms, leather little monsters, there are animals."
For the foodie in your life, local favorite Hedy Goldsmith the pastry chef at Michael's Genuine Restaurant has come out with her first cookbook called baking out loud.
Hedy Goldsmith-Author, Baking Out Loud: "This is absolutely for anyone who has ever eaten at Michael's Genuine because this is really a sampling of the best things and all my key secrets."
She's gives away sweet tooth secrets to items like her famous pop tarts neuters and her brittle.
Hedy Goldsmith-Author, Baking Out Loud: "I take the mystique out of making all of this so every home baker can bake out loud."
For the fashionista, another local designer has created Street-Luxe, big statement jewelry for those with street style. I mean we're talking 80's style big.
Ysset Boan-Owner, Owner-Style Ctzn: "Street-Luxe is one of my favorites. She creates very unique earrings but very bold. Made by hand. You're never gonna have a piece that is exactly the same."
P.S. if you do decide to brave Aventura Mall for black Friday, the Spa at Turnberry Isle is offering tired shoppers a recovery ritual package.
Michael Perez-Spa Director, Spa at Turnberry Isle: "Mostly our consumers are going to be sore from all the walking they will be doing, so we're going to hit them with a nice foot bath, followed by reflexology. And all the stress that's been incurred to the shoulder and neck area, from carrying the bags we're going to finish with a half body massage. It's $165 and it's for 80 minutes."
It is the season of giving but hey, Santa won't mind if you give yourself a little R&R too.
