Style File: Lucky Strike
Miami Beach goers have a new place to hang out. It's both bar and restaurant -- and a place for some good old-fashioned fun. Get ready to bowl in tonight's Style File.
WSVN--We've got the beach. We've got the clubs. We've got the crowd. But now the south beach party people have a whole new way to strike a pose. Welcome to lucky strike where they've got bowling pins, bowling balls, and bowling shoes...But don't call this place a bowling alley -- here they prefer the term bowling lounge.
Owner Brian Elias: "In the spirit of South Beach we thought we would have recreation as well as drinks and good music so it's kind of a combination all tied up into one."
14 lanes with just the right mix of modern and retro decor -- you'll be reminiscing in no time.
Bowler Grisselle Bartley: "It's fun it takes you back to your childhood its fun you come with friends you just have a good time."
Belkys Nerey: "And while you're here you can always have some dinner but we're not talking pizza and beer at lucky strike they've got an extensive menu where you can order yummy stuff like like asian chicken salad, flank steak sandwiches and lemon shrimp skewers..how's that for bowling food!"
Matter of fact you don't have to bowl at all you just can just come in for dinner and drinks and watch all the other pinheads do their thing.
Bowler Sabrina Crews: "I mean honestly walking in i'm still blown away only I mean the lanes or the restaurant they did it well only on South Beach."
Not really the South Beach Lucky Strike one of 7 across the country including one in la-la land. There celebs like Ashton Kutcher, Gwen Stefani, Serena Williams and Jamie Foxx are bowled over by the hip scene.
Bowler Gino Mancini: "It's for everybody kids, adults, and couples. I'm here with my wife and having a great time."
So calling all king pins...You don't need to know how to bowl you just have to be willing to spare some time to have some fun.
Bowler Manny Artime: "It's a good time it's a fun time it's awesome."
The prices start at $5.95 per game per person, depending on the hours --- and they do parties for kids of all ages.
