WSVN -- From American Idol to Britain's Got Talent, even magicians can't get enough of the Cowell critique, but this quacky scientist's plan to send a duck from one side of the stage to the other falls flat. Good thing he doesn't seem to notice, and, like always, Simon shows the poor chap some compassion. Thanks, Simon.

Not all tricks are quite as harmless. You can imagine where this is going. When it comes to the final cup, this volunteer plays the odds and loses the hand, so to speak. Don't worry her hand eventually healed.

Nothing's better than mixing a prank with some good old fashioned magic. These folks thought they were chosen to be part of some movie magic, but it looks like the joke's on them.

Finally, this magician decided to heat things up a bit with an explosive trick. Everything seems to be going fine. That is until he decides to turn it up a notch. I'm not positive, but I don't think that's what mom meant when she said 'use your head.' Luckily, the guy was fine.
