The Buzz: Charity Gifts
Less than a week left to buy your Christmas gifts, and if you haven't finished, we have an idea that's right in the spirit of the holidays.
(WSVN) So many gifts so little time...that's why you should give the gifts that keep on giving this year....
At Neiman Marcus pick up an Elton John Candle...54 bucks, looks great smells great and 20-percent of your money goes to Elton John's Foundation to benefit Aids charities.
Trish Mcevoy's prepared pink maxed out gloss will make you look good and feel good....at 19 bucks, some of the proceeds goes to the Girl Scouts.
Kiehl's eucalyptus shower gel costs $12.50 a bottle, and all of your money will go to youth Aids organizations.
And if your the on-line type, use the neiman's gift catalog. Some items benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Corina Biton, Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour, says "It's just a great idea because you're helping people that normally would not be getting this money and it's giving two gifts, you're making a donation on their behalf and then you're also buying them a personal gift."
For more gifts that keep on giving, head over to Bloomingdale's.
Bloomies offers a cozy cuddly bear the bear's 12 bucks with any 50 dollar Bloomingdales purchase and it generates a donation to the Radio City entertainment's cheering for children charity.
Give the gift of christmas with a Christopher Radko collectibe ornament...these red white and blue ones benefit Sept. 11th charities...and this one celebrates adoption and the proceeds go to the Dave Thomas Foundation....
If finding a cure for cancer is the cause close to your heart...then pick up an Estee Lauder pink ribbon compact or a Swarovski pink hope pin or a Stila lip glaze..all of it benefits breast cancer research.
And why stop at gifts. Buy charitable cards like these sold at MAC stores...they're designed by kids living with hiv and aids and the proceeds go to children suffering from the disease...
Dana Bruno, Bloomingdale's, says "During the holiday season, Bloomingdale's just wants to support those charities out there, and our shoppers want to support them as well so it makes the season that much more special."
So, tis the season to give, and give back!
You can also donate to the WSVN-7, Marine Corps Reserve "Toys For Tots" Program.
