Beaded Jewelry
A diamond may be a girl's best friend, but beads aren't too far behind. The jewelry is hot, and now making it is the in thing to do. We have The Buzz on this beading trend.
(WSVN) -- J-Lo and Jennifer Aniston wear it -- beaded jewelry.
It's beautiful and fun... but now, making the pieces is just as popular as wearing them.
Nancy Albert of Bijoux Design Creations says, "It's the latest craft that has been booming here, especially in South Florida."

ancy Albert knows all about this craft craze.
She started beading for fun, and now owns Bijoux Design Creations in Southwest Miami-Dade.
Nancy says, "I took one class in San Diego and I became obsessed with it. It was so much fun."
So much fun, Nancy says beading get togethers are replacing book clubs and tupperware parties.
She says, "Sometimes people will just come to my store and just sit there and bead and spend the whole day here, just beading with their girlfriends."
Lisette Rosen, who loves to bead says, "I spend a couple of days here a week usually. My husband sends me here."
The kids even love it.
A jewelry making party is how Courtney Susskind celebrated her 8th Birthday.
Instead of pony rides, the girls made their own precious pieces.
Courtney says, "We put beads on a string and made rings and necklaces and anklets and bracelets."
"I just tied a knot in the middle and I put this bead on."
Jessica Silva, who loves to bead says, "I think this party is a really fun idea because it's really creative."
And there are thousands of beads to choose from -- everything from crystals to precious stones.
Nancy says turning them into necklaces, bracelets, wine charms and even candle accessories is the fun part.
SHe says, "It's fun to create your own designs."
Seem to girly? Don't tell that to Miami-Dade Firefighter Frank Garcia who says beading has another benefit.
Frank says, "I enjoy it, it's very relaxing. I can you know get rid of my stress."
Nancy adds, "It's relaxing, it's inexpensive, you just need three basic tools and the rest is up to you."
Beading is so popular there's even a convention coming to town in May.
