When you are known as "The Rock," you're not supposed to have a soft side. The pro wrestler however can't help but show his emotions when it comes to starring on the big screen.

(WSVN) When you are known as "The Rock," you're not supposed to have a soft side. The pro wrestler however can't help but show his emotions when it comes to starring on the big screen.

Swords, fire and lots of fighting. The Rock definetly has the right stuff in his new movie "The Scorpion King."

The Rock, in The Scorpion King, says "I'm just really, really happy. That's really an understatement. I'm estatic, I'm overjoyed..."

You'd be overjoyed too.

The WWF star took a small part as the scorpion king in the mummy returns and turned it into his first leading role in a feature film.

"The stories that we're able to tell from just that little bit it's just really amazing it's turned into something phenomenal..."

In "The Scorpion King," The Rock plays a powerful warrior trying to save his people from an evil ruler.

The former U.M. football player says his athletic background came in handy in Hollywood.

"It certainly helped in terms of choreography of all the fights it helped with the main stunt players and my stunt double and rehearsing things..."

The wrestler turned actor keeps a place in L.A. wth his wife and now newborn baby girl. But Rock admits theres no place like home.

He says "South Florida there's nothing like South Florida..."

The Scorpion King opens in theatres this Friday.

I'm going out on a limb here by saying you can probably expect a sequel.
