The Buzz: Firefighter Calender

(WSVN) "You know you look a little like George Clooney..."

They're not professional models but they could be.

They're sure cute enough -- like the City of Miami's Scott Dean...this year's Mr. August. 

Scott Dean, Mr. August, says "is this a cut right here can we get a tight shot of that....how long did that take to get I don't know...how many protein shakes did that take...I need one of those and one of these..." 

Some 70 firefighters tried out but only 17 made the cut -- no pun intended.. 

23 year old Rusty Shaw from Ft. Lauderdale is the 2003 calendar cover boy. 

"Are you married single? What do you like in case they're are some women out there that are interested..."

"I like all women preferably blondes but that's just a preference, Rusty says." 

Now it's time for their 15 minutes of fame and fun..on this day they're rehearsing for the calendar release party at Level Nightclub. 

Mr. September Obie Frometa from the City of Miami is keeping things in perspective. 

"It's for a good cause and that's what it boils down to one of those things they can never take away from you...that's for sure...," Obie says.

And what else is for sure is the teasing they'll get from their fellow firefighters --- just ask some of the guys who are back for their second year.  

"They're like calendar boy blah blah blah blah blah all sorts of stuff I can't say on t-v they give me a hard time..."

"They try to give me a hard time but it doesn't work you just show them your six pack and say get out of here I say look I'm on t-v with Belkys so you can tease me all you want I'm having fun..." 

I'm the one who had all the fun...and you can have some fun tonight...the guys will be selling calendars and performing at Level Nightclub tonight...they'll be at Bal Harbour shops tomorrow, Aventura Mall on Saturday and the Dolphin Mall on Sunday...
