It's the topic Joan and Melissa Rivers talk about all night long on Emmy night.

This year the mother/daughter team are hooking up again to host E!'s Live From the Red Carpet.

Joan Rivers host of E!'s says, "My baby, it's so much fun cuz she's the only one who I want to look better than me or get better lighting or be thinner than I am. There's truly no competition..."

Why would there be? The pair's been working the red carpet for 6 years now.

6 years of celebrity fashion winners and losers.

"We really talk as if we're sitting next to you on a couch at home going..look at those breasts, what is she crazy to wear those shoes and that's what makes our show so different from everyone going oh don't you look pretty...and then go ugggghhh..."

Last year, the Emmys were postponed twice after September 11th.

When the show finally did go on Hollywood kept it simple.

This year Joan and Melissa look forward to seeing some of their favorites.

Melissa Rivers says, "There's just certain people that you look forward to..we always look forward to Debra Messing, Lara Flynn Boyle, cuz she always wears something that's a complete and total look.."

"Oh, we always do this when we come over to you."

Some celebrities dread seeing them on the red carpet.

But for Joan and Melissa it's all in a days work, and it's all in good fun.

Melissa says, "Like my mom has said ' when you're making 20-million dollars a season..because we didnt' like one dress you wore it's not the end of your world..' "
