His real name's Cornell Haynes Jr. You've never heard that name, but you've heard the name Nelly. He's back with another album hotter than his first.
(WSVN) It's a catchy party song, that's topping the charts. Rapper Nelly is taking us to Nellyville with the release of his second album.
Nelly says, "The song has been doing unbelievable and people have been accepting it. If we can just get that to filter over to the album."
Nellyville is the hip-hoppers follow up to his Grammy nominated debut album "Country Grammar."
This time, the 24-year-old pairs up with some other young singers, like N'Sync's Justin Timberlake and Destiny Child's Kelly Rowland, to belt out a few tunes. He says, "I came into this game doing different stuff, doing different sounds, doing stuff that people ain't ever seen before."
Including sporting his signature band-aid. He actually started wearing it while visiting Miami, after he hurt himself playing hoops here.
He says, "I got cut actually on the left eye, and I just put a band-aid on it. I ain't think nothing of it, and before I know it little kids are running up with band-aids on their faces."
Turn on the t.v. and you'll see him. Turn on the radio and you'll hear him. And now the St. Louis native is handling his business by venturing into the business of cellphones.
Nelly's cellphone line is due out around the holidays. Nellyville is in stores now and yes ladies, he is single.
