The Buzz: Destiny's Child
Rumors of a breakup and lawsuits by former members. The ladies of Destiny's Child are saying why they truly are survivors.
They performed at the Grammys. They've released their remix album and their autobiography will hit bookstores in the next month.
"We love you New York.."
Not bad for a group that was supposedly splitting up.
"We do support and love each other, we are not breaking up. I am sorry.sorry for 'ya.."
But in between collecting trophies and selling more than 19 millions albums worldwide, each member has found time to do a little moonlighting
"Yeah baby yeah!!.."
Beyonce is wrapping up her big-screen debut opposite Mike Meyers in the third installment of the Austin Powers franchise.
"Everybody taught me so much, and I am actually going to do the first single of the soundtrack next week."
"There was no way I could sing our song, because i found out someone else wrote our lyrics.."
Kelly has recurring role on the television comedy the Hughleys.
"She did an incredible job. she needs her own sitcoms..I am serious, I am not playing...publicist...everybody my girl needs her own sitcom ok.."
And Michelle releases an inspurational solo album on April 16th.
Expect guest vocals from Kelly and Beyonce.
"They're number 12..yeah we're number 12 on the record.."
On the down side, two former members are suing Destiny's Child over alleged disparaging lyrics on the hit single, "Survivor."
"It is unfortunate that after a year the song has been out now, the more drama.."
But for now the drama of choice is slipping out of speeding tickects in their native Texas.
Michelle, it seems, can be quite a flirt, espacially with cops.
"She was like, 'Oh, do you have any kids? We can sign an autograph.' I was like 'all right Michelle!.He was like here mam this is just a warning. We were like...yeah..."
Destiny's Child authorized autobiography called Soul Survivors hits bookstores April 16th.
