The Buzz: Big Trouble
Take a group of weirdos. Throw in a psychedelic toad and some stupid criminals and you've got "Big Trouble."
Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Stanley Tucci, Dennis Farina, Omar Epps, Jeanine Garafalo and Jason Lee
Tim Allen says, "How do you like it...light and sweet..." these are just some of the actors who star in the mad cap comedy big trouble.
"It's about different couples getting together my son and a girlfriend me and a new love interest criminals getting together. it's about couples in one way or another..."
The story revolves around a missing suitcase and by the end of the film all of these crazy characters come together in the wackiest ways possible.
"It's really done very brilliantly it's really written very well that's what everybody got excited about..."
Big trouble is based on a novel by South Florida writer Dave Barry.
"Ok let's rehearse.." It's directed by Barry Sonefeld the guy who brought us men in black and get shorty.
"I love being on a set with Barry he's just fun and he's funny and I love his humor and I love his films so I thought it would be just sometimes you need to take a film cuz you can have a good time on the set..."
I'll say we visited the set of big trouble during filming and this cast was having a great time.
Barry Sonnefeld told me why he thinks Miami is the best place for a comedy.
"For me Miami is a great place to do a comedy because palm trees are really funn...what is so funny about palm trees..look at them they're funny looking trees they're kind of skinny and they have this stupid thing on top..."
"Big trouble" was supposed to open last September but it got postponed because of the subject matter.
It finally hits theatres on Friday. Look for the palm trees.
