Deception, jealousy, and revenge. That about sums it up for the new Richard Gere movie which no doubt will have couples across America asking themselves what would we do.

(WSVN) Deception, jealousy, and revenge. That about sums it up for the new Richard Gere movie which no doubt will have couples across America asking themselves what would we do.

Richard Gere, Diane Lane, and Olivier Martinez. These are the stars that make up the love triangle in "Unfaithful."

Actor Richard Gere says, "They're not damaged people. They're normal everyday people and we want to make them as normal as possible, as much as you and me."

You and me aren't Gere and Lane's characters, but we could be. They play husband and wife who appear to have the perfect marriage, but an accident leads the Mrs. to Olivier Martinez's character.

She comes up to his place and eventually things get crazy - if you know what I mean.

And again and again and again.

Actress Diane Lane says, "The suspense doesn't necessarily come from the plot, it comes from the emotional holding of the breath that the characters are going through not knowing what's coming next."

What eventually does come next is a surprise no one in the audience expects.

"Unfaithful" is directed by Adrian Lyne, the same guy who brought us "Fatal Attraction" and "Indecent Proposal."

See it with your partner and it's guaranteed to leave an impression.

Director Adrian Lyne says, "If on the right day, at the right time, if you see or meet the right person it could happen to anybody."

Who did what? I'm not telling. You can see for yourself. "Unfaithful" opens Friday.
