Fifth Harmony hits the recording studio

MIAMI (WSVN) -- South Florida's favorite girls are back and this time with a new sound.

The girls from Fifth Harmony are taking their X-Factor voices into the studio to record their debut album.

The girls who were grouped together by the show were strangers when they first met, but they say going through the competition with each other has helped them prepare for stardom.

Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello said, "When you're in X-Factor, you're only competing against those contestants for the start of a career and now it's the start of our career and we are competing with people like Beyonce, One Direction, Justin Bieber, crazy time artists."

The album titled, "Word," will be released through X-Factor judge LA Reid's record label.
