Keri Russell plays Eve Harrington in benefit

NEW YORK -- Annette Bening, watch your back.

Keri Russell has been cast as the scheming Eve Harrington to Bening's stage icon Margo Channing in a one-night-only benefit reading of "All About Eve," the classic Hollywood film about life in the theater.

The reading, a benefit for the Actors Fund, will take place Nov. 10 at Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Tickets are priced from $100 to $1,500.

Also in the cast are Brian Bedford as acerbic theater critic Addison DeWitt; Peter Gallagher as Margo's love interest, Bill; and Angela Lansbury as Birdie, Margo's clear-eyed, tart-tongued maid.

Others participating in the reading include Cynthia Nixon, Joel Grey, Zoe Caldwell, Jennifer Tilly and John Slattery.

Russell starred on television in the series "Felicity" and was in such films as "Waitress," "Mission: Impossible III" and "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid." She made her New York stage debut in Neil LaBute's "Fat Pig."

"All About Eve" was written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. The 1950 film starred Bette Davis as Margo Channing and Anne Baxter as Eve Harrington, and won six Oscars, including best picture.
