Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) - LaQuita D. Lee Director, Pre-K-2 Department

  • Any child that is eligible (5 years of age by Sept. 1st) to attend Kindergarten in the fall who did not participate in VPK during the 2008-2009 school year
  • Students: June 9- August 11, 2009 (8.0 hours) 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - 37 days, 300 hrs.
  • The program will run Monday-Thursday.

ESY (Flexible Time) - Dorett Wade, ESE -

  • Up to 5 weeks of service: June 29 - July 30
  • Over 5 weeks of service: June 22 - August 6
  • Student Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • The program will run Monday-Thursday.

Grade 3 Reading Camp (Regular and Year Round) - Shezette Blue-Small or Susan Smith, Core Curriculum -

  • Any third grade student scoring at Level 1 of FCAT Reading, regardless of promotion
  • Host Schools: See Attached List
  • Students - June 22 -July 23: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
  • The program will run Monday-Thursday.

21st Century Community Learning Center Summer Programs - Carl Dasse, CTACE,

Jr. ROTC Summer Camp Col. James Armstrong -

  • This will be a seven day program operating 24 hours a day.
  • June 7 - June 14: Located at Boy Scout Camp Tannah Keeta, Northern Palm Beach County.
  • 380 Cadets
  • Invitation Only

Alternative Students

  • Alternative students will report to their home school identified feeder school site.
  • Host schools and feeder patterns are available in the Summer Sites list. (See Attached)

*VPK, 3rd Grade Reading Camp, ESY and Driver's Education will run Monday - Thursday.
