Thousands attend annual marathon

MIAMI (WSVN) -- South Florida played host to an amazing race over the weekend.
More than 21,000 people hit the streets of the magic city early Sunday morning for the annual ING Miami marathon. Their goal was finish the 26.2 mile race or the 13.1 mile track for half-marathoners.
The runners represented 79 countries and all 50 states, but all participants shared one thing in common, they were happy they finished the race. "It was awesome. Great race, great route, and I'm glad to be out of the sun," said Tammy Zwolinski.
The top three runners of every category were awarded medals and in some cases cash prizes.
