Police arrest 2 teens after chase and crash

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested two 16-year-olds after, police allege, the teens car-jacked a car, lead officers on a chase and crashed.
According to Hialeah Police, the car-jacking occurred in Hialeah. Officials said, the two suspects carjacked a man in broad daylight. They then took off from the scene, in West Eighth and 81st Street, in the man's Chevy.
Someone called police who were soon in pursuit. The suspects eventually slammed the man's car into a dumpster at the corner of Northwest 135th Street and 42nd Avenue, in Opa-Locka.
Hialeah Police Detective Eddie Rodriguez recalled the take down of the subjects: "As officers were attempting to follow the vehicle, the vehicle looses control, crashes into the fence that you see behind us. That's when we were able to take into custody two juvenile black males."
Police also said they recovered a handgun on the scene, which they believed, belonged to one of the juveniles.
