Photogs protest `Rock of Ages' ordinance

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The shooting of an upcoming movie stirred up a peaceful protest outside Fort Lauderdale City Hall.
Nearly two dozen print and professional photographers are angry. Friday afternoon, they decided to protest a Fort Lauderdale city ordinance that bans all photography within several hundred yards of the filming of the Hollywood movie "Rock of Ages."
The Society of Professional Journalists filed a lawsuit against ordinance, saying the city law is unconstitutional. "So we said we were going to come down here and find out why is it illegal, and we are going to prove to them that it is legal, and if they want to arrest us, then fine, we'll take the arrest because we will win in court," said Photographer Carlos Miller.
Film crews have been shooting the musical at several locations across South Florida for more than a month now.
