Dog taught to panhandle on death row

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A gimmick to collect money lands a homeless man in jail, and his dog in an animal shelter. Now, a South Florida woman is trying to change that dog's fate.
His name is Chocolate and he's a hit on You Tube and on South Beach. "He's a legend on Miami Beach actually," said a resident.
Chocolate has an unforgettable face and talent that has touch people's hearts, and gets them to open up there wallets.
Instead of Chocolate walking the streets and getting applause, he's sits n a cage at Miami Dade Animal Services in Medley.
Noe Boo, Chocolate's owner, was arrested on Miami Beach on Tuesday after an officer said he saw Boo punching, kicking and dragging Chocolate behind his bicycle. "You are not to posses any animals of any kind until further order of the court," said a judge.
Chocolate will be put down if he's not adopted by June 29th. "If you're a person who is not very active then maybe Chocolate is the right pet for you," said Miami Dade Animal Services Xiomara Mordcovich.
Vicky Tnzi and her friends are trying to save Chocolate's life, but the clock is ticking. "It's so sad that's he's going to be killed or anything, it's really so bad," said Virginia Valore.
Boo has been charged with animal cruelty.
