Puppy trapped under car rescued
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Crews have safely removed a puppy found wedged under a car.
According to officials, the puppy crawled under a car when it got caught near the engine. It happened along Northwest 16th Street and Second Avenue. Neighbors heard the puppy's cries and called 911.
Crews used a car jack to raise the vehicle and pulled the dog out. "With the dog being under the car, it's a good thing he was protected from the heat," said Miami Fire Rescue Lieutenant Ignatius Carroll, "but you know, just the fact that not knowing how long he was under the car, how long he had been under water, he is definitely dehydrated."
Officials have reached out to animal control and neighbors to find the pup's owner.
