MIAMI (WSVN) -- Guests and staff at the Sofitel Hotel have been allowed back into the building after they were evacuated due to a bomb threat.

Miami-Dade Police gave the all clear almost two hours after people were told to evacuate, Monday morning. Bomb squad crews, along with K-9 units, had combed the building but found nothing.

According to police, the threat was phoned in to the hotel, located at 5800 Blue Lagoon Drive, and people inside were evacuated at around 11 a.m.

Officers and firefighters went door-to-door at the hotel to make sure everyone had been evacuated. Blue Lagoon Drive was even shutdown in both directions.

As the evacuees stood in the hot sun, the crowd was offered food and Water. Miami-Dade Transit buses were called to the scene to allow those waiting outside to cool off until they were allowed back inside the building.
