K-9 in crash released from hospital

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- A police dog has been released from an animal hospital after a cruiser crash that also injured his human partner.
Rudi, a Plantation Police K-9, left the Hollywood Animal Hospital Monday after being involved in a serious car crash last week.
Rescuers took Rudi out of the back of the squad car and to the hospital when Plantation Police K-9 Officer Curtis Hampton and Rudi were involved in a head-on collision. A sport utility vehicle jumped the median in the 6900 block of West Broward Boulevard and struck Hampton's vehicle.
Officer Hampton remains at Broward General Medical Center after suffering multiple fractures. He is in stable condition.
