Police investigate deadly dispute

WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities are investigating the scene of a deadly shooting at a local motel.
According to Miami-Dade Police, they were dispatched early Wednesday morning after reports of a shooting at the Orchid Inn, located at Northwest 36th Street and 73rd Avenue. Upon arrival, they found one man shot to death.
Police believe there was some type of argument that resulted in the death. "Officers later determined that one person was injured. Once rescue personnel arrived, he was pronounced deceased on the scene," said Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta. "He's a black male in his late 20s, early 30s. There was another female that, during the verbal altercation that escalated, was also injured, not by gunfire, but was injured during the altercation itself. She was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment."
No arrests have been made, at this time. Authorities are questioning several people as they try to piece together what exactly happened. "There were several other people that were perhaps witnesses, and they are being interviewed at the homicide bureau, as we speak, to find out what their involvement is, if any," said Zabaleta.
