Disaster loan offered to locals hit by tornado

SUNRISE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Relief is on the way for residents impacted by last week's tornados.

Low-income disaster loans are now available to home and business owners in the Sunrise and Plantation areas of Broward County whose properties sustained damage after a tornado with winds of up to 130 miles per hour damaged as much as 70 structures on Oct. 19.

People can apply for help through the US Small Business Administration by Dec. 27.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals may call (800) 877-8339.
