Water warning issued for Seminole Canal
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Officials have issued a water warning in Broward County after sewage spilled into a canal.
An internal overflow at a wastewater treatment center led to some sewage contamination in the Seminole Canal.
Officials are urging everyone to avoid any recreational water activities in the canal.
Residents between Southeast 15th and 16th Streets, Cordova Road and the Intracoastal waterway also need to stay out of the water.
The warning is in effect until further notice.
