Liberty City families receive donated turkeys

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Residents in Liberty City received turkeys for Thanksgiving thanks to a generous donation.

On Monday, about 300 families in the Liberty City neighborhood of Miami received turkeys for their Thanksgiving meals.

7's Patrick Fraser and Howard Finkelstein handed out the turkeys to those who otherwise may not have had one this week.

The turkeys were paid for by Luis Valderon from the Miami-Dade Foreclosure List. Valderon chose Liberty City because, he says, that is where residents have been hit the hardest by the economy.
