Officials seize 20 pounds of marijuana at sea

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Marine patrol has found 20 pounds of marijuana on an abandoned boat off the coast of South Florida.
Investigators said the 18-foot vessel had been sitting on a boat ramp for several hours, before being intercepted.
"Beached on ramp itself, that's what drew our attention to this boat and no one was around it, no water around it either," said Boynton Beach Police Officer Gregg Koch. "We investigated and saw red flags like an extra fuel canister on board."
Officers discovered the pot stuffed in bundles, inside a trash bag.
Officials believe the discovery was part of a larger operation, after also discovering a hidden compartment inside the boat.
