Pet event raises funds for abandoned animals

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Local pet owners and their four-legged friends attended an event to raise money for abandoned animals.

Many owners and their pets turned out to the third annual 3K Walk and Fun Dog Show at Victoria Park in Fort Lauderdale, Sunday.

Participants battled for the Best in Show award in the dog show.

7's Craig Stevens helped emcee and judge the event.

All proceeds went to abandoned pet rescue efforts.
