LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Authorities are looking for a bus rider who threw a trash can at a county bus driver.

According to Broward Sheriff's Office detectives, a passenger got into an argument with a bus driver when he boarded the bus on the 510 block of Oakland Park Boulevard, last Tuesday. The man then threatened to punch the bus driver in the face. The driver told the man to get off the bus and the rider threw a trash can at the driver before he obliged.

BSO spokeswoman Dani Moschella said, "Detectives are looking for this man. We're hoping that the public recognizes his face, you can see him very clearly on this video. This is just bad behavior and we've seen this before."

The Broward Sheriff's Office arrested 19-year-old Demetrius Vidale after his mother saw her son on the news and turned him in to authorities. Vidale was caught on surveillance video on Nov. 18 using profanity in front of children on a county transit bus and directing some of the profanity toward the bus driver after the driver asked him to get off the bus. Once Vidale exited the bus, cameras caught him throwing a rock at the windshield of the bus, cracking it.

If you have any information on this person, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
