Dog adopted after being buried alive

MIAMI (WSVN) -- A lucky dog has been adopted again after being found buried alive.

A member of the Paws 4 You Rescue organization picked up the Labrador-Rottweiler mix from the Miami-Dade Animal Services.

The rescue group specializes in saving and rehoming unwanted, abandoned and homeless dogs. "She looks pretty good. She looks under weight the limp I don't like, so we definitely have her checked out tonight," said Paws 4 You Rescue Carol Caridad. "Her eyes you know have a story to tell, and I think she's happy to be in the van and on to some real grass, and out of the sugar cane."

A woman found the dog buried in a Southwest Miami-Dade field. She heard the dog barking beneath the soil and rescued the dog before it was to late.
