Man accused of rape arrested

PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a 20-year-old man accused of raping a teenage girl on a cruise ship.

Police said Luiz Scavone, and a teenage boy, sexually assaulted the 15-year-old girl during a trip aboard Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas.

The company reported the incident immediately to police and the suspects were arrested when the cruise returned to Port Everglades.

Scavone and the teenage boy have been charged with lewd and lascivious battery.
